Positivity and quality of college life of business students: The mediating role of learning approaches

Drawing upon the causal agency theory, this study examined the direct and indirect (via learning approaches) links between positivity and quality of college life (QCL) of business students in a transitioning market, Vietnam. Two studies were conducted to test these relationships using structural equation modeling. Findings from study 1, based on a sample of 428 business students, showed that positivity was positively related to QCL. Further, deep learning approaches mediated the relationship between positivity and QCL. Findings from study 2, based on a sample of 416 business students, reconfirmed the role of positivity in QCL. However, the indirect relationship between positivity and QCL was not significant, demonstrating that surface learning approaches did not mediate the relationship between positivity and QCL. The findings contribute to the literature on positivity in higher education by confirming the overarching role that positivity plays, directly and indirectly (via deep learning approaches), in QCL.  相似文献

Selecting the correct method for routine analysis by ‘method evaluation’ is an important component of quality assurance. It is a step-wise procedure that evaluates various analytical parameters like accuracy, precision etc of the given method. Finally reference intervals are established for selected population. Ensuring quality of laboratory services is the need of the hour in the field of health care. Keeping in mind the revolution ushered by six sigma concept in corporate world, health care sector may reap the benefits of the same. Six sigma provides a general methodology to describe performance on sigma scale. We aimed to gauge our laboratory performance by sigma metrics. Internal quality control (QC) data was analyzed retrospectively over a period of 6 months from July 2009 to December 2009. Laboratory mean, standard deviation and coefficient of variation were calculated for all the parameters. Sigma was calculated for both the levels of internal QC. Satisfactory sigma values (>6) were elicited for creatinine, triglycerides, SGOT, CPK-Total and Amylase. Blood urea performed poorly on the sigma scale with sigma <3. The findings of our exercise emphasize the need for detailed evaluation and adoption of ameliorative measures in order to effectuate six sigma standards for all the analytical processes.  相似文献

团体标准具有促进科技创新等重要作用。在我国有关团体标准的主体制度中，是否要对团体标准化主体的边界以“法人资格”为限制，值得进一步讨论。实践中，存在一定数量的产业技术联盟等社会团体可能未获“法人资格”，但却具备了开展团体标准化活动的专业能力。诚然，无须将“法人资格”作为硬性的准入门槛，而应将“专业能力”作为必备的资格条件，并突出技术组织对团体标准化活动的的支撑作用。继而有必要通过法制化路径引入主体备案制度，为非法人社会团体在标准化领域创造合法空间，从而在一定程度上缓解实际需求与相对严苛的现行法律环境之间的张力。  相似文献

Taking into account uncertainties in model parameter values is a crucial point for studying robustness in modeling and in control. This paper proposes to construct in a systematic and graphical procedure two forms of the linear state equation usually found in the literature for dealing with the robustness problem in the case of structured uncertainties on parameters. 2001年/2002年在云南冬春香料烟主产区保山的罗明片和柯街片进行密度种植试验和气候考察.揭示出本区冬春香料烟生产季最高最低气温、平均气温和土温时空变化特点及差异气候特征;其中,冬季温度变化关键期(12月/1月)大部时段土温旬均值高于气温O.5℃～3.0℃,最低气温极值为3.0℃～3.4℃,随时空而异.研究表明,密度对烟叶产量和质量的影响以及株高迅速生长的天数随气候类型的不同而异;冬季热量水平低是生产优质冬春香料烟的制约因素;影响冬春香料烟生长发育和烟叶品质的温度因素因地域而异;光温差积影响烟叶总糖含量,10 cm土温影响烟叶烟碱含量;适宜种植密度行株距为40cm×12cm,单株风干烟茎重达28.44g～31.33g/株、风干烟叶重达82.99g～91.41g/株、产量为1 729.1kg～1 903.8kg/hn2.此外,建立了株高-温度关系模型,模型通式:y'=c0 n∑i=1ci·xi.在此基础上,提出在主产区实现优质香料烟生产的对策建议.  相似文献
